A Workshop on “Studying Abroad and procedure of applying passport”
Passport Committee of college organized a Workshop on topic “Studying Abroad and procedure of applying passport” on 28 March 2018. The Passport officer, Dr. Preeti Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics delivered a lecture to students and made them aware about the scope in foreign job market and facilitate them application procedure, appointment procedure and knowledge regarding faster police verification etc. in detail through power point presentation.
Farewell Party, 2018
Farewell Party was organized by Junior students of the college for their Seniors in the college on 09 April, 2018. Students from all stream i.e. B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. and B.B.A participated in the event. Ms. Farewell, Ms. Personality and Ms. Intelligent was chosen from all the streams. Students enjoyed the evening a lot.
Alumni Meet, 2018 held on 07 April, 2018 in the college. All the alumni of the college were invited to attend the event. On this occasion, the Sarpanch’s of nearby villages were invited. Many of the Alumni shered their feelings and memories of their college time. They enjoyed the event a lot. Principal, Dr. Geeta Goyal awarded the alumni who are at prestigious positions at present, blessed all the alumni and encouraged them to remain in contact of the college always for the goodwill of college.
Annual Sports Meet
Annual Sports Meet, 2018 held in the college from 03 to 04 April, 2018 in the college. Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Usha Lohan, Professor, Department of Physical Education, KUK. All the students and Staff members were invited to attend the meet. Various games like 100 mtr Race, 4 X 100 mtr Race, 400 mtr Race, Long Jump, Triple Race, Discuss Throw, 4 X 400 mtr Race etc were played by the students. A game, musical chair was organized for the teachers also. Principal Dr. Geeta Goyal and Chief Guest, Dr. Usha Lohan gave inspirational speech to the students. In the end there was prize distribution ceremony in which winners were awarded with respective Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Ms. Devika, student of B.A III year won Best Athlete award.
Fine Arts Workshop
With the blessings of Honorable Shri Brahmswroop Brahmchari Ji Maharaj, 3 days Fine Arts Workshop sponsored by Department of Youth and Cultural Affairs, KUK has been organised in SNRL Jairam Girls College from 07-03-2018 to 09-03-2018. Resource Persons from various disciplines of Fine Arts like Painting, Poster Making, Cartooning, Rangoli, Installation, Clay Modeling, Photography and Collage gave their services to the students. Students from 10 colleges participated in this workshop.
Making Exam Fun – Chat with PM Modi
In Jairam Girls College, a live telecast of PM Mr. Narender Modi’s Speech on “Stress Free Examinations” was organised for the students on 16-02-2018. Various stress relieving techniques were discussed by Mr. Modi.
Inter School Competitions held at Jairam Girls College, Lohar Majra, Kurukshetra on 10-02-2018. All the schools were invited to participate in the events. Ninety eight students participated in the Rangoli, Clay modeling, Poster Making, Solo Dance, Poetry and Speech competitions from different 14 schools.
Day-Night NSS Camp has been organised by SNRL Jairam Girls College, Lohar Majra from 30-01-2018 to 05-02-2018. On first day of the camp there was an Inauguration lecture on Vittiya Saksharata by Mr. Rai Singh, Manager, PNB Jyotisar.
On the second day of N.S.S camp, clean India campaign was organised by the students to cleaned the college campus. They cleaned rooms , clerical office, library , grounds and auditorium and then a motivational documentary was shown to the volunteers for boosting and inculcating the team spirit amongst students. In the evening, a competition of the patriotic songs was organised.
On the third day of N. S. S camp, volunteers learned the various techniques of self defense where they were taught growing attack, elbow attack, eyes attack and various effective techniques by Mr. Rajesh Sharma. Girls got to learn a lot under his guidance. Girls practiced these techniques and got their doubt cleared. In the evening volunteers enjoyed a lot in cultural programme where they gave solo, duo and group performances it was really refreshing and beneficial for students.
On the 4th day of NSS camp, there was an extension lecture on empolybility skills by Mr. Y.P Mehta, former Principal of S.A.J College, Ambala City, former Professor and Dean of Ambala college of Engineering and Applied Research . Volunteers learned that by getting bookish knowledge and getting a degree would not serve the purpose of all round development. In the evening, N.S.S volunteers participated in poster making competition where they made effective posters on female foeticide, save the girl child thereby spreading a social message.
In the evening of 5th day of N.S.S camp, volunteers presented their views on their ideals and their stories that inspire them. They quoted Lionel Messi, Yuvraj Singh, Albert Einstein, Picasso, Mihir Sain and many other personalities who fought back against the problems and rose up. Truly this activity was very informative and personality enhancing.
On the 6th day of N.S.S camp Lecture on First aid was delivered by Mr. Deepak serving at Red Cross committee. Poster making competition was organized on various social issues. In the evening students discussed about various first aid techniques.
On the closing day of NSS Mr.D.S. Rana N.S.S Co-ordinator from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was the cheif guest of the ceremoney. A skit On ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ was performed, a power point presentation was shown depicting the day and night activities of the volunteers under the camp. Mr.Rana motivated the students for social works. Students for ‘Best out of waste ‘, Poster making competiton were awarded. Lastly four best volunteers were chosen and awarded.Truly this was a very nice motivating, apprehensive camp.
One Day Inter-Disciplinary National Seminar
One Day Inter-Disciplinary National Seminar on “Skill India : Challenges and Reforms” Sponsored by ‘Department of Higher Education, Haryana’ is organised on 19-01-2018 at SNRL Jairam Girls College.
Computer Science Department has organised a workshop on “Role of ICT in Education” on 03 November, 2017. Teaching and non teaching staff members participated in it. Ms. Vidhu Nirmal (Assistant Professor in Computer Science), explained the Basics of Computer, Ms Romy Wadhwa (Assistant Professor in Computer Science), demonstrated the basics of MS Word and Ms. Jyoti (Assistant Professor in Computer Science) explained ICT and demonstrated the basics of MS Power Point.
On 31 October, 2017 Freshers party was organised in the college. Miss Sarbjot was crowned with Miss Science, Miss Shreya was crowned with Miss Commerce, Miss Vrinda was crowned with Miss Arts and Miss Komal was crowned with Miss Outfit.
Legal Literacy Week
Legal Literacy Cell has organised Legal Literacy Week from 30 October, 2017 to 04 November, 2017 in which Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Awareness Rally etc. events were conducted.
Sanskrit Shlokocharan Competition
On 27th October Sanskrit Shlokocharan Competition was organised by Sanskrit Department. Miss Devika, B.A III got first position, Miss Kirti, B.A III got second position and Miss Jaya, B.A III got third position.
Extension Lecture in Mathematics
An extension lecture was organised by Mathematics Department on 25 Oct,2017. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Suman Gupta, retired Associate Professor in Mathematics, D.M.M, Kurukshetra. The Topic of lecture was “Importance of Mathematics in Different Fields”. Students of B.Sc and B.A attended the lecture and showed keen interset.
40th Zonal Youth Festival
College participated in 40th Zonal Youth Festival and achieved in various events held from 15th to 17th October, 2017. College recommended in Sanskrit Drama, Clay Modeling and Mime and commended first in Cartooning, Indian Orchestra, Sanskrit Declamation, commended second in Classical Vocal Solo, Rangoli and Hindi Play. A student Sonia got best actress award in Sanskrit Drama. On this achievement Principal, Dr. Geeta Goyal congratulated all the winners and participants.
Science exhibition in Jairam Girls college on 10-10-2017. The students from Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science departments showed their models. In Chemistry, Sarabjot, Komal and Neha got first prize, in Physics, Sonia and Anju got first prize and in Computer Science Kamalpreet, Gauri and Anita got first prize.
Quiz Competition by Science Department in Jairam Girls College on 29-09-2017. Team of Jaswinder Kaur, Sonia and Aruna got first position, team of Neha, Manpreet and Mahak got second position and team of Diksha, Pooja and Divya got third position in this competition.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s centenary celebration
On the celebration of centenary Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay a quiz was organised by History and Political science departments on 24-09-2017. The topic for the quiz was the life and Ideology of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. Team of Ravinder Kaur and Navdeep Kaur was first, team of Naha malik and Neha was second and team of Aarzoo and Gurjeet was third in the competition.
Talent show was organised in the college on 19-09-2017. In the programme Mr. Hukum Singh, Examination Contoller, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was present as chief guest. A total of 9 events i.e. singing, instrumentation, dancing, poem competition, speech declamation, mimicry, poster making, quiz and mehndi were held. In all events, girls participated with lot of confidence and energy. The enthusiastic participation of students showing their talent has astonished everyone. In singing, Sheetal got first position, Kamaljeet got Second and Jaya and Anu got third position, in instrumentation, Kajal, Neeru and Sonam got first, second and third position respectively. In poster making, Sushmit got first, Suprem got second and Priya got third position. In speech, Sonam, Jyotika and Simran were first, second and third. In mono acting sonia, Sunita and Rakshanda got first second and third position respectively.
On 14-10-2017, Hindi Diwas was celebrated in college with the co-ordination of Haryana Sahitya Academy, Panchkula. On that occasion, in speech competition Sonam got first, Monika got second and Reena gor third prize and in slogan writing competition Richa, Rakshanda and Anju got first, second and third prizes respectively. Sahityakar Amrit Lal Madan was the chief guest in the programme.

GST Awareness Seminar was organised by Shiksha Institute of Mangement & Computer the college on 13-09-2017 in the presence of Director, Sh. S.N Gupta, Principal Dr. Geeta Goyal, & faculty of Commerce department .It was excellent interaction with students of the college.

A webcast program held on 11-09-2017 live telecast by Mr. Narender Modi on the occasion of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s centenary celebration and 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekanand’s address at the Shikago World Parliament of Religion.
Poster Making Competition
Poster making Competition on GST on 08-09-2017. Sukanya from B. Com first year got first prize, Aarchi from B. Com first got second prize and Pooja Sharma from M. Com final got third prize.
“Swachhta Pakhwada” was celebrated in the college from 01-09-2017 to 15-09-2017. Under this, Green Campus Day was celebrated in the college on 07-09-2017. On this occasion Principal, Dr. Geeta Goyal, and staff members Mrs .Deepti Sharma and Ms. Vidhu awared the students about importance of tree plantation.

Nutrition week celebrated in college from 1-7 September, 2017. The main objective to celebrate nutrition week is to raise awareness on the importance of nutrition for health which has an impact on development, productivity, economic growth and ultimately National development.

A presentation competition on GST organised by Commerce Department in our college on 30-08-2017. Ms.Parminder from B.Com III got first prize, Shreya from B. Com I got Second and Ritu from B. Com III got third prize in the competition.
Hockey Competition on the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand
